Top 5 Coldplay songs

It was announced earlier this week that Coldplay have revealed that their new album entitled "Ghost Stories" will be released on May 17th. Along with this news the band also put out the first singles from the album, called Midnight and Magic.

Whilst fans have mixed views on Coldplay's newer output, there are many who enjoy their classic songs which helped them on their incredible journey to filling out stadiums all over the world.

Here are my choices for my favourite five Coldplay songs: (links included below)

Yellow

It's the first song of theirs I heard and it's incredible how I still get chills when I hear it.

Viva la Vida


The moment when Coldplay decided to change their style to sound upbeat and refreshingly different was their best decision yet.


The Scientist


This track holds a lot of sentimental value for me and its simplicity and stripped nature makes the song beautiful. 


Paradise


Similarly to The Scientist, it captures the pure essence of a chilled vibe with ambience as well as being catchy.

Clocks

One of the most distinct introductions in a song and it demonstrates Chris Martin and co’s talent and the reason for their success.
