With only two studio albums under his belt Mars' discography is a little bare with that in comparison to Madonna who has 12, at the time of her performance in 2012. Which led me to ask the question: What will Bruno Mars bring to the Superbowl to create a memorable and entertaining performance?
Maybe I was being too optimistic, while his performance was averagely entertaining. Memorable, it was not.
It kicked off with an all child choir singing the chorus to his and Travis McCoy's 2010 hit 'Billionare', which lead to an impressive drum solo by Mars into his smash hit 'Locked Outta Heaven' and then the groovy and soulful 'Treasure'.
Dressed in a shiny gold blazer and black skinny tie and pulling off killer James Brown inspired moves, Bruno and his band certainly looked the part. But then everything became same-y and dull quite quickly, the dancing, and then the song only his fans recognised. Snooze.
Until his special 'guest' came out and added the flare that Bruno's lukewarm performance needed.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers happened! Of course they did their thing, then it got amazing, then after only one song, they left and it got boring again.
Finishing with the cheesetastic, almost unbearable, 'Just The Way You Are' Bruno Mars finished his Superbowl happier than ever by the look of the size of his grin on his face.
Although it might've not been the best Half Time show ever, who cares, because as long as Bruno thinks it was amazing, just the way it is, as he would say, isn't that all that matters?

Not this time.
