FourPlay's Track of the week: Lana Del Rey - West Coast (Review)

Down at the West Coast, they’ve got a sayin’....

The lead single to Lana Del Rey’s upcoming album ‘Ultraviolence’ has finally been released after what must of felt like a century for all her fans who were thirsty to get a taste of what the new album will sound like, which Lana has decribed herself as a deeper and darker sound than her previous work.

And if West Coast is anything to go by, 'Ultraviolence’ will be one of the standout albums of 2014. What’s amazing about the song is that it is instantly cachy, which is unsual for a Lana Del Rey song. The chorus is pure perfection, over a mid tempo beat, Lana effortlessly oozes her natural sultry vocals on the song resulting in one of the best songs of this year.

Dreamy with a vintage feel, 'West Coast' is a must listen and available to download on the 18th of May on Polydor records. Tell us what you think below.
