Twin Atlantic - Heart and Soul | Single Review

Tonight we exclusively got the chance to hear a new song from Twin Atlantic after it was aired on BBC Radio 1. The new track entitled "Heart and Soul" is the band's latest output and the first song we've heard from them in a couple of years. The Scottish foursome have been in the studio for a number of months recording material for a brand new album and this is the track they decided to air first.

"Heart and Soul" is a mid-tempo, straight forward rock song with a bluesy feel to it. There is an incredible amount of simplicity to it which is fairly uncommon in a Twin Atlantic song but it seems to work just fine. The chorus is catchy and with just a couple of listens you'll have it stuck in your head for a week. Good news: the distinct vocals are still there and they're sounding as Scottish as ever, which is what we love.

It's certainly a promising song albeit a bit bland in places, however there is still an entire we're yet to hear and if it's as good as their last album, "Free", and they put their heart and soul into it then we're in for an absolute treat.
