Deal of the Month
Kick Ass 2 (£7)
The sequel to the popular Kick Ass following a haphazard
teenager as he tries to be a superhero. Gaining more of a superhero team in
this film, it expands Hit Girl’s character and has a few other superheroes to
give some depth to the film. A lot more
emotional and plenty more action than the first one which makes this a very successful sequel.
Splurge of the Month
Aliens Pulse Rifle (£50)
Become a colonial marine and kick some Alien ass like
Ripley, if you want to spend £50 anyway. From the 1986 film Aliens, this rifle
managed to kill plenty of aliens. Get your friend one of the many xenomorph masks
available and act it out. Great to add any film fans collection.
Bargain Bin
Man of Steel (£7)
Rebooooot! Too soon and not good enough either. Very clean
cut Superman with Henry Cavill, true to the comics. This has a poor storyline
and bad villain in Zod. Even if it seems impossible, there’s just too much
action going on at any one time, so you just end up losing track. There are
also far too many pointless flashbacks that don’t really add anything. I’d just
wait to see if they mess up Batman vs. Superman (probably).
